Reaching Home COVID-19 Emergency Response Plan Funding

PRACSS is also currently accepting applications from organizations who are working directly attending to the needs of the homeless or at risk of homelessness in Prince Rupert, BC during the COVID-19 pandemic.   Through the Government of Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan, funding is available to support activities that reduce or mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 among people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness during this period, and to provide additional support to the homeless serving sector.  If approved, projects can start immediately.  Note: Project activities must be completed by March 31, 2021.  This is the second call for applications.   Please indicate on your application whether your project activities will be addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.

In determining COVID-19 responses, applicants are encouraged to engage widely with other partners to support a coordinated response at the community level. These partners could include local public health authorities, and municipal emergency management officials.  Applicants are encouraged to coordinate efforts with shelters and other service providers.  New flexibilities have been made to the existing directives to enable timely and effective community responses to the COVID-19 outbreak, including to Health and Medical Services and Basic Needs Services.
